I think I have now a fair amount of research and I should start thinking about actual ideas for a game.
For this, I decided to do some brainstorming and gather together the research I’ve done so far. I used a spider diagram to do this.
I started with the main subjects and used simple words that caught my attention when I was researching. In dark pink are the things I like the most and I think have the most potential in a game or mechanic idea, and in light pink are the things that also seem interesting and might help in the future.
I quite like the whole universe / stars topic and I think I’ll go with it for my game. I’m thinking of a really relaxing, visually stunning game. The ‘journey back to the origins’ also is something I want to explore more, because I believe it could be something different, where the players could learn about the history in a peaceful game environment.
I believe there are some good ideas in this diagram, so I will try to narrow them down and see what I can make with just a couple of elements from it.
